Clochard Chique

Last week I talked a bit about my busy times. Here’s a bit more from the output I generated. We shot the series entitled Clochard Chique as a contest submission for this years Canon ProFashional Photo Awards. Alexandra Zanvit of Option Models in Zurich was kind enough to join in for the ride.
The idea behind it all was a girl living on the streets, dreaming of making it into the high fashion business. So she finds all kinds of trash materials to make a dress - the street is her catwalk.

We had an evening gown out of isolation felt made. Designer Jana Keller of RoyalBLUSH was kind enough to help out on this. The dress was combined with plastic panels and other “not so fashionable” materials.

Here’s a first shot out of the series:

And the lighting setup for it:

I used 2 Elinchrom Ranger Speed AS Units. 66% power on the rim lights behind model to the left and right. 33% power on the main light through beauty dish camera right and a strip light camera left as fill. Aperture f/9.5 Shutter Speed 1/125s

Was it windy that day or did you use something to make the dress billow?
