Keeping Busy

And suddenly I find myslef in the midst of a somewhat busy week!
Last weekend we shot my contribution to this years CPPA (Canon ProFashional Photo Awards). “Clochard Chique” is the working title of the series. We had a dress made out of isolation felt, combined with large plastic panels and other materials to give the impression that it was made out of things one would find in the trash.
After several hours of Hair & Make Up we arrived on the set. Located under a highway bridge, we quickly found us surrounded by some teenagers, who argued that this parking lot was theirs to play soccer on. Great! So we told ‘em it was all for VOGUE Italy (which they didn’t know) and that it was all very important… After 30 mins. of peace and quiet they returned in bigger numbers and the whole situation started getting agressive. At some point we had to move to a nearby location to finish up. I had just set up there, when it started to rain…
All in all I got about a week now to process 5 out of this series as my contest submission to CPPA.
In this very same week I’ll have to get my portfolio book up to speed, as I will be attending a portfolio review session called Swiss Portfolio Day this coming Saturday. I’ll be seeing the photo director of Annabelle, the editor in chief of Du and the creative director of an ad agency. So wish me luck…
And the day after that I’ll be shooting promo materials for a local musician…
I’m curious what comes next, squeezing into this week as well ….
